A Volunteer Day At Rainy Crest Fort Frances Ontario Canada
I had a great time as a volunteer at the Fort Frances Rainy Crest long term care home last week with a group of new soap carving fans. It was fun showing some of my wood carvings to display what can be done and how even when we get on in years we can learn new things and maybe even make a business of it. I was teaching soap carving and doing story telling. Everyone had fun. One gentleman was smiling at my character carvings and my stories. It made my heart feel good when the staff told me he hardly ever comes out of his room and how nice it was to see him smile. I give a big thank you to Rainy Crest for this opportunity to visit.
